Bend of Ivy Lodge

A magical, 63-acre eco-friendly campus, Bend of Ivy Lodge lives up to its claims of being an eclectic mix of Asian Zen, Blue Ridge Mountains, and even reminiscent of Tuscany, Italy with its rolling hills. Historically rich, its restored tobacco barn and woodland grounds hold deep energy and roots, having once been graced by Cherokee tribe encamped on the land. There is no other wedding destination like this in Asheville.

“This venue was truly love at first sight. Really. You can feel the mystification of this place, inside out.”

Professionally landscaped, this famous venue of leadership and mindfulness retreats opens its gates to destination weddings. And it’s among the best kept secrets of Asheville. Why? Bend of Ivy is located just about 20 minutes from downtown. It’s perfectly nestled in natural surroundings, has artifacts from all over the world, from Africa to Asia, a farm, and flawless outdoor design, and…

A variety of unique, beautiful sites to choose to wed:

  • Rockery Pond Garden

  • Pavilion Lawn, overlooking koi pond and Rockery Pond

  • Labyrinth Lawn, on a knoll overlooking the valley.

Exquisite

This is an absolutely exquisite place. Your building design is amazingly wonderful. It was a great pleasure just being here. The full moon rising last night was quite something!

— J.A.

Magnificent

“Thank you so much for creating this space for us to step into. Our weekend here was magnificent.. a memory I hold dear for the rest of my life. I leave fulfilled and joyful. There is nothing I would change about our entire wedding weekend at Bend of Ivy Lodge.”

— Bruce Mulkey; Bridegroom

Perfect

The long-planned Thanksgiving celebration was much more of a success by having everyone living in the Lodge. It was a perfect place to accommodate all the individual personalities: we each had personal space with walks to the river or going into Asheville, while at the same time we could share communal living.

—Alan Basist, Event organizer
